Past PTA Highlights and Achievements

2023-2024

Dear Families,

WOW! What a year it has been for our school and community! We are so grateful that this has been such an amazing year filled with so many activities and successes. From the beginning of the year to the final days before summer, it has been a pleasure to witness firsthand the dedication, passion, and tireless efforts of the entire school community, from the teachers and staff to the families at CDM. Together, we help make our school a place where everyone feels supported and appreciated.

As the end of the 2023-24 school year approaches, your CdM PTA Board thanks you for your commitment to excellence. We were happy to help on campus and continue many longstanding events as well as a few new things!

Here are highlights of the ways we served the community this year:

This event was our MOST SUCCESSFUL ONE EVER and proved when our community comes together, we make GOLD happen! Gina Jaha and her incredible team, along with our sponsors, homeowners, and underwriters, made us happy to see 7 homes, shop the boutique, see students perform at the Civic Center, enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch, and celebrate at the after-party! Most importantly, funds were raised that support students, teachers, and staff every day.
  • 516 members make up our CdM PTA Family! Your membership dues, along with proceeds from the Home Tour, make so many things possible. THANK YOU!
  • Our partnership with our parent leadership groups and Principals! We are grateful to collaborate with the other parent leadership groups and Principals throughout the year on ways to support the school and the overall experience at CDM. Thank you, John Jenkins, Amber Snider, Principals Dr. Haley, and the entire Staff and Teachers for a successful year in partnership!
  • CdM PTA volunteers greeted visitors and answered phones in the Middle and High School offices. Thanks to Deanna Seery, Jessica Susolik, and Elise Goldberg for organizing your teams of helpers!
  • Teacher Grants totaled more than $20K for a variety of items including classroom technology, art supplies, food for Mandarin classes, headphones, SRC furniture maintenance, SRC phone changing lockers, books for student book club, classroom furniture, TV for counseling office to show students class course selection, calculators, cameras for yearbook, and so much more!

  • Our annual PTA Holiday Party for teachers, staff, and parents was held at a beautiful home in Big Canyon, thanks to Bonnie Lee and Justin Pham.
  • Well-fed and caffeinated teachers are happy teachers! Motivation Mondays and Wellness Wednesdays kept our Teachers and Staff stocked with healthy snacks on a monthly basis. Thanks to our team for providing a back-to-school Italian Luncheon, a Teacher Appreciation BBQ Lunch, and an End-of-the-Year breakfast with goodies for all. It takes a village and we love our village!
